More things change...the more they stay the same...
Guilt kept me from posting on Monday, and Tuesday, but I woke up this morning after a little soul searching and decided. Things have got to change!
But if there is one thing I have learned. I cannot be left to my own devices to make the changes. So this morning I got on line and ordered "Nutrisystem." Here's why:
1. I have been on it before and had fantastic results. I went on the program in 2008 and in the five months that I was on the program I lost 35-40 lbs. Didn't feel deprived. What went wrong? I moved to New Orleans where a good restaurant is literally a stones throw from anywhere. Guess what? I'm not living in New Orleans, and that should make it a little easier on me.
2. The cost of Nutrisystem is going to be the same as my current food bill. And each month the cost drops a little, so yeah for me. Plus since I signed up today, I got an extra $20 knocked off the bill.
3. Convenience. People, I do not like to cook. I never have. This will take care of that for me. No thinking required (except the pancakes). Bad news: I have to buy a microwave. I haven't owned one for about 9 or 10 months now. Hoping I can find one after/around Christmas after somebody gets a new one. Guess I'll be hunting the second hand stores and garage sales.
I go into this with a different mind-set this time. This is going to be a lifetime program. From time to time I will enjoy something special, but then it's right back on the plan. I need the structure. But I require choice as well, and hell...who doesn't love it when someone goes shopping for them!
Gotta remember the iron tablets. Soy products leach the iron out of your body and these foods are comprised of a lot of soy. I remember having cold spells from time to time.
And so it goes, back to the drawing board! At least this time I have already seen success with it.
